New Member Information
Welcome to the Hampton Pool!
Hello New Families,
The Hampton Pool Association Board of Directors would like to welcome you to your first season as members. We are so glad you have chosen to spend your summers at the Hampton Pool. We wanted to give you some information to help get you ready for the summer season ahead, and answer a few FAQs.
Logistics
You created an account through our membership management platform MemberSplash when you accepted the offer to join the pool and paid your dues. Please make sure you have this log in information saved to your mobile devices as well. Each day that you visit the pool, you will need to check in at the gatehouse. A lifeguard will be on duty to make sure you check in, along with any guests. You have been given a 4-digit member ID (noted as your Legacy Acct # in your MemberSplash account). You will enter this 4-digit # each time you check-in.
Please make sure you have photos uploaded for each member of your family listed on your account. Our lifeguards will be checking that photos match the members checking in.
MemberSplash is where you will make payments for items such as annual dues, guest passes, nanny fees, swim lessons, and any ticketed events we may host during the season. Discounted “books” of 10 guest passes on sale now until June 15th $85 for 10 passes, otherwise individual passes are $10 each. If you have a nanny for the summer, you can pay $100 to add them for the season (this is for consistent/full time child care providers, occasional babysitters that are not members will need to use guest passes).
Our pool website https://hamptonpool.org/ is where all information relating to pool hours and calendar, swim team information, and policies & rules can be found. Please take a minute to read over our policies and rules.
Operating Hours
The pool will open Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend. Please refer to the pool website for exact hours of operation.
For the 2-3 weeks following Memorial Day Weekend, the pool will open at 4pm weekdays Mon-Fri. The pool is open for all members at those times, but please note that swim team practices will be taking place from 4-6:30pm Mon-Fri so portions of the pool are reserved for practice lanes.
Regular weekday hours will begin after Baltimore Co. Public Schools close for the year. For 2026 season this will be Wednesday June 17th (likely opening at noon on June 15th and June 16th since these are half-days for BCPS).
Hampton Hammerhead Swim Meets take place on Mondays and Wednesdays (June 15th -> July 15th for the 2026 season). For days that we host Home swim meets, the pool closes early (will be noted on pool calendar). For Away meets, the pool hours are not impacted.
Operating Hours do fluctuate throughout the summer based on guest volume and patterns of attendance. Please check the calendar as hours (particularly opening hours) can change as we move from July into August when many families are on vacation.
Social Events
There are a variety of events throughout the summer that bring members and families together. We host a large and very fun 4th of July celebration each summer. The pool is packed, and everyone always has a great time.
Friday Family Nights are popular, when the Hampton Grill will be open and serving food for sale, along with a Movie shown on the courts at dusk. This event occurs weekly on Friday nights as long as we have volunteers to cook food on the grill. The pool provides the food, the lifeguards set up/clean up, and the volunteers man the grill and cook up the burgers, hotdogs and other items for sale. Please consider signing up one Friday night when the sign-up genius email goes out (link can be found on pool website homepage as well). It’s a great way to meet other members too.
Other summer events usually include Adult Float Nights, Teen Night, Food Trucks and Bands etc. All members will receive emails when these events are coming up.
Swim Team and Swim Lessons
Many families participate in our Hampton Hammerheads swim team. Information about the team is located on the pool website, along with swim meet dates. Registration information will be emailed to all families.
Swim Lessons are given by our swim team coaches. Please visit the pool website for updated information about dates, pricing and registration.
Member Work Days
As a volunteer-run pool, we expect all families to help us get ready for the summer season. We have Member Work Days every May to help with cleaning, grounds work, moving furniture, painting etc. to get the pool ready to open. Please plan on attending at least one of these Member Work Days.
Parking
Please follow all posted signage for parking around the pool, including on Sleepy Dell Court next to pool property. Please do NOT block anyones driveway or park on neighbors lawns. Any questions about parking you can talk with the manager on duty.
When becoming a member of the Hampton Pool, you agree to abide by the Payments Terms and Conditions found here.
