Parent Code of Conduct

Hampton Pool Swim Team Parent & Swimmer Code of Conduct

As a parent/guardian of a Hampton Pool Swim Team swimmer, I agree to support
a positive, respectful, and team-focused environment by adhering to the following:

Team Values & Parent Conduct
Support the team by promoting Perseverance, Commitment, and Teamwork.
Refrain from coaching or instructing swimmers during practices or meets; allow coaches to lead.
Demonstrate good sportsmanship and model respectful behavior toward swimmers, coaches, officials, and other families.
Maintain self-control at all times and respect roles: Swimmers swim • Coaches coach • Officials officiate • Directors direct • Parents parent.
Avoid criticism, abusive language, or negative gestures toward anyone involved with the team.
Communicate positively and support all team members.
Direct questions or concerns through the coaching staff or swim team director only, not directly to officials.

Media Release
Photos, videos, and images of swimmers, team activities, and members may be used by
Hampton Pool for websites, marketing materials, and social media.

Disciplinary Policy
Any behavior that disrupts team harmony or reflects poorly on Hampton Swim Team or the Free State Swim League may result in disciplinary action.
Hampton Swim Team and Hampton Pool reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership at their discretion.

Training Behavior
Swimmers must follow all coach instructions and demonstrate focus and respect at all times.
Disruptive or disrespectful behavior may result in removal from practice.
Profanity, verbal abuse, or physical misconduct by swimmers or parents will not be tolerated.
Violations may result in sanctions, including suspension, removal from events, or expulsion from the team.

Meet Expectations
Arrive at least 10 minutes before warm-ups prepared and ready.
Wear a team cap and appropriate competition suit.
Stay engaged, know event times, and support teammates.
Represent the team with respect and sportsmanship at all times.
Profanity or abusive behavior at meets will result in disciplinary action, up to and including expulsion.
